Why We Built This Site
New Mexico gives the public broad access to many court and government records through court rules and the Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978, Sections 14-2-1 through 14-2-12. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Eddy County District Court Clerk handles Fifth Judicial District case files for felony, family, civil, and other District Court matters. The County Clerk handles recorded instruments, marriage licenses, and probate support, while Eddy County Probate Court handles informal and uncontested estates. The Sheriff's Office manages jail and law-enforcement records. Add New Mexico Case Lookup, re:SearchNM, and state agencies, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
