Eddy County Jail Roster Overview

Eddy County Inmates and NMCD
Use county custody tools for the jail and NMCD Offender Search for state prison, probation, and parole. NMCD states that it does not have jurisdiction over county or city detention facilities, so its offender search is not a replacement for the Eddy County jail roster. NMCD requires first name, last name, or NMCD number. Its research notes say Adult Prison Division information updates nightly, while Probation and Parole offender search updates in real time. NMCD also says its Central Office, Constituent Services, and Records Bureau will not provide inmate release information, updates, or statuses.

Eddy County's family-service information points to Securus Technologies Video Connect for video visitation. The county-linked handout says the visitor uses the Securus Mobile app, creates or signs into a Securus account, funds prepaid AdvanceConnect by card, registers for Video Connect, enables video calls, and allows camera, microphone, and notifications. Calls are on-demand and initiated by the incarcerated person. The handout says there is no requirement to schedule sessions in advance. Billing is pay-per-minute, but the exact Eddy County rate was not posted in the research.

Eddy County Jail Mail and Money
Mail and funds rules are strict. Effective March 1, 2023, Eddy County Detention Center no longer accepts personal mail or books. Regular mail exceptions cover legal, professional, privileged mail, or transactional documentation. Family and friend correspondence uses Securus E-Messaging through the Securus app or securustech.net. Messages, photos, and VideoGrams are subject to review by Eddy County Detention Center.
